Производит запись на любые диски: DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R DL, DVD-R DL. Весь инструментарий программы разделен на две группы, связанные с клонированием дисков и копированием исходного материала на различные устройства с изменением формата данных.
В режиме копирования целого диска вы указываете источник и цель, которые могут быть представлены как оптическими приводами, так и папками на жестком диске. Вы можете выбрать формат носителя DVD-5 или DVD-9, и тогда программа сразу подсчитает коэффициент сжатия видеопотока. Все преобразования выполняются автоматически. Второй режим «Основной фильм» позволяет производить копирование отдельных фрагментов видео, а также допускает выбор аудиодорожек и субтитров. С помощью дополнительных настроек можно вручную выбрать диапазон глав фильма, предназначенных для копирования.
В режиме разделения исходного материала на диски формата DVD-5 вы можете вручную указывать главу фильма, начиная с которой данные будут записываться на второй диск. Программа автоматически проверяет диапазон доступных значений и предлагает лишь такие варианты, которые не повлекут за собой необходимость сжатия данных. По умолчанию все меню и дополнительные материалы будут записываться на оба диска. Но вы можете вручную выбрать элементы для записи как на первый, так и на второй диск. Кроме того, вы можете вручную вводить объемы конечных дисков. Настройки программы позволяют указать общую политику разбиения информации. Программа может стараться либо уложить максимум информации на первый диск, либо на второй. Режим «Модификация» допускает изменение структуры данных DVD. Вы можете либо сохранить исходную структуру меню, либо, удалив ее, последовательно запускать заголовки. Остальные настройки полностью повторяют режим «Основной фильм». Последний режим клонирования предназначен для снятия точных копий с DVD дисков. В случае обнаружения смешанной структуры данных на диске, DVDFab Platinum может вычленять структуру DVD Video, пропуская сторонний материал. Программа позволяет осуществлять преобразование форматов данных с целью записи материала на мобильные носители. Стандартный режим допускает преобразование DVD Video в форматы MPEG-4, DivX, XVID, H.264, AVI и MP4.
